Sunday 4/17
8 am. We start to close down condo. It is sad for me to end this much anticipated climbing trip with great climbing partners prematurely. I know, however, that the decision is correct and it feels good that the decision is now behind me. I am super psyched to show Laurie Red Rocks, as I have really fallen quite hard for this climbing mecca.
9:30 am. We start our hike of Turtleback Mountain.
2pm. We exit RR and drive to Fallon, NV for the night. It feels great to watch a good plan unfold!
9pm. We notice side affects of first hormone therapy drug injection in abs. and are little concerned.
Monday 4/18
8 am. We exit Fallon, NV.
9am. We receive a call from my Eugene urologist acknowledging imaging results. He is supportive of our plan to be treated at the Knight Institute.
10am. We receive assurance from Justina that side affects are normal.
5pm. We arrive home, feeling the love!
Oh my gosh, I can see why you love the Red Rock area. It is definitely your part of the world. The desert in the springtime is simply amazing with color and life. I think those blossoms are prickily pear. My grandma and I used to make jam from the fruit….and wait, is that big horned sheep one of your climbing buddies? I see you are using the camera feature on your new iphone well. 🙂 I’m sending you healing thoughts around the side effects of the hormone therapy, and hoping they stay in the normal range. Arms around you.
Siempre en mis pensamietos.

coming home means home cooked meals with your new diet plan. you and laurie are both such amazing cooks, so I’m sure you’re totally on it already, but i thought i’d share a couple of my favorite low carb comfort food recipes. idk if they would work for you or not but they are big favorites at my house.

thinking of you every day!
OMG! My first reaction is of tears and fright, pick up the phone and make you listen to how hearing such news has affected me. Sound about right?:) I’m glad I slowed down and read your blog. Both you and Laurie are very infectious, when it comes to positive feelings. And you guys make me smile. You know you both have always promised to come visit perhaps this weekend? However, I still get to cry and then I’ll stop, will settle in, start laughing and enjoy the day, scouts honor. Thanks, for sharing your journey and true is my heart when I says I will be sending you happy thoughts and prays to you both……. Now I know why you guys have been on my mind. Invite has always and will always be there. The nice thing about friends is being able to just pick up where you left off last time. Peace Out……Marty
